Bettie Page, my very favorite pin-up girl of all time, died today at 85 from complications from a heart attack today. She's been much of a recluse in the past fifty or so years, but is an interesting character. She thought there was nothing wrong with her nude, or even bondage photos because she knew that they made people happy. Then she found god and gave it all up. The movie is nothing special but The Notorious Bettie Page does a decent job explaining her life story, and features a decent performance from Gretchen Mol.

I love the idea of pin-up girl beauty. The red lips, the kitch, the full hips and breasts--I love it.
